Contemporary Roman figures of the late Republic
Livia Drusa and Gaius Julius Caesar Strabo were both prominent figures in Roman society during the same historical period (the late 2nd and early 1st centuries BC). They moved within the same aristocratic circles, as Livia was the sister of the influential tribune Marcus Livius Drusus and the wife of Quintus Servilius Caepio, while Strabo was a member of the Julii Caesares family and a political figure who served as aedile and pontifex.
