Terms of Service

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You can manage your account, sign out, export your data, or permanently delete your account from account settings at any time.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of these Terms;
• attempt to access another user’s data, overload, or disrupt the Service;
• abuse rate limits or automation to bypass caps on AI research and reviews;
• use AI-assisted suggestions to generate or distribute content that infringes others’ rights.

3. Credits and billing

The Service uses a pay-as-you-go credit model: there are no plans or subscriptions. You buy one-time credit packs through Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for paid transactions. Your payment details are handled by Paddle and are not stored by Aristotree. Credits do not expire. Refunds, taxes, and billing disputes are governed by Paddle’s terms and your agreement with Paddle.

Credits are consumed by AI-assisted research, media discovery, and review generation. We may change credit pack pricing or features with reasonable notice. New accounts receive a one-time starter credit grant. You can buy more credits from the billing dashboard at any time.

4. AI-assisted content and sources

Aristotree is source-assisted: concept suggestions, summaries, and media are produced with the help of third-party AI and data sources, which may include Google Gemini and Wikimedia (Wikipedia and Wikidata). AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete. It is a starting point for your own study, not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any content you accept into your graph before relying on it.

5. Your content and licenses

You own the concepts, edges, reviews, and other content you create in your graph (“Your Content”). You grant Aristotree a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and process Your Content solely to operate the Service for you, including AI-assisted generation and spaced reviews on your behalf.

If you opt into the public leaderboard, your chosen display alias and progress may be visible to other users. You control this from your privacy settings.

6. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from account settings, which erases your account and associated data. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or create risk to the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; your data will be handled per your choices and our retention obligations.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. AI-assisted content is not guaranteed to be accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aristotree is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms and will note the new “Last updated” date above. Material changes take effect after reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
